"I've Got no Use for America or Her Damned Institutions!"

OK, it's clear that Governor Palin did not and does not hold membership in the Alaskan Independence Party (even though there is evidence her husband did). According to CNN and others who are trying to ascertain the truth behind the rumors, this is the end of the story. But it shouldn't be, not as long as evidence remains of possible sympathies for their platform. Certainly not when the slogan of the party she is representing is "Country First."

Below is a video clip of the governor's address to the AIP convention this year. And just above it is a quote from the founder of the party which is at this very moment proudly emblazoned on the introductory page of their website. It may be down tomorrow when the Sarah Palin truth squad finds out about it, but right now it's out there for everyone to see.

So you decide. Is this a person who has the best interests of our country in her heart and mind? If so why the warm endorsement of a secessionist party whose founder has "no use for America or her damned institutions."
